ABT,
I guess I have to face facts__doesn’t look like the market will let me get ABT for 42.5
__and I don’t want it to get away and jump to $58 all of a sudden–just kidding–but $58 ABT will be there some day—

These right wingers against the health insurance public option don’t live in Los Angeles–Los Angeles–if you come to visit here and get into a car accident–we don’t have any emergency rooms left open for you–so you’ll just have to die! Avoid coming to LA at all costs if you can!

HES–
This is OPX–option expire week–I’d be careful with any long positions–use tight stops on longs–I don’t think there will be any more gap downs this week–
The investors that bought AUG calls, they’ll probably take profits before the calls expire–So, OPX week might be a down week.

    LEAP: $14.17 would be the stop. I'm waiting for $15.05 or the first up day.

    IACI: breakout looks good. I'd like more volume but it is still breaking out.

    UNG: nothing new here.

    USO: short now right at resistance. It either goes up 6% tomorrow or starts the dive.

    dollar: I'm confused.

  • If the rest of the world looks scary to invest in, the dollar will go up__that's one of the components

  • I hope you guys aren't losing your shirts on LEAP--it's so deep in the negative RSI, you'll just have to wait for the first up day and then go long---I have really great go long today signals, on the overnight charts--but LEAP is a falling knife, so I'd wait for the first up day

    Looking at futures, it could be a very good day. If we do open a lot lower, I do not know if I should take profits or if I should just hold my shorts. It seems like we have an up day followed by a down down, so I just do not know. The good news for the shorts, we did not rally into the close yesterday or the day before, maybe the bulls are getting tired. I am leaning to holding on to my shorts, which means I should probably take profits.

    I sold calls on V, sept 70. I do not see V breaking 70 in the next 30 days

  • Something has to make SKF go to RSI 50--that's all I know--either it comes from US markets or from overseas--and this is OPX week--and GS has a lot of covered calls-I imagine-and, they can sell at a huge premium--if they dump this week and reload on Monday with Sept's

    DRIV may be busted from a technical perspective. Picked up some puts. Not a lot, just a spec play. I think if we have a down day tomorrow, DRIV could really go down

    Market up 90 and I am going short, short, short. QID, FXP and adding to UNG.

    I did not get a chance to short at the end of the day yesterday so I am doing it now. We could rally into the close but I am ready to eat that. Too many people on the TV are bullish.

    We might get one more sideways to up day before plummeting Thursday on the initial claims number.

    For the most part, I will be short until the end of September. We may have more up days to come but I am convinced that sooner rather than later we will get a big pullback.

    I have no idea. I hate earnings and wish they were not reporting tonight. I learned the hard way not to play earnings. Over a year ago I played the MSFT earnings and hit BIG, feeling so proud and good I bet big and played the CSCO earnings. This was the qtr where the outlook was "lumpy". I lost everything I made on MSFT. I took a beating. After eating 3 or 4 servings of humble pie, I decided not to play earnings. Sometimes a company will miss and the stock still goes up, sometimes they exceed and the price goes down. Sometimes the price goes down after they announce only to be up big within a few days.

    I avoid day trading and usually swing trade while building some long term positions (like UNG).
  • UNG may be forming a repeatable bottom -12.0 on overnight---taking a 1/3 position Sept 9 calls, 11.7 still bugging me.
  • SKF worked itself to RSI 36 from what looks like RSI 15---I think you can throw out SKF retesting recent 27's low--I think it goes to the upper bb band first--33.5, which would just about = RSI 50
  • before you know it--FSLR will be at $160, longer term,--if it's down again tomorrow--I'll pick up an OTM SEPT call

    Hello Z, I notice our old pal MYGN has revisited it's 52 week low. It will be interesting to see if it holds. There is trend line support from Oct. 2007 that lines up around 23. Chart looks horrid, though.

    so far there is a nice bottoming tail hammer forming on HES today. I think it could pull back a bit further though. I am continually amazed at how cheap FTO trades at and I will be looking for the technical setup to go long. The worry over the continual weakness in the crack spread for refiners has dragged this stock down to unsustainable levels. FTO's balance sheet is rock solid and they will not be going anywhere no matter how bad the refining industry gets.

    Everyday I think the same thing and everyday it rallies in the last 30 min. While common sense would say you are right, I am playing it that the market has no sense. I took profits in the morning and am almost all cash except for UNG which I picked up some more a few minutes ago. I will wait until the last 30 minutes and jump back in. If we rally at the end, I will save my self some money when I short everything again. If it does not rally at the end, it is a bearish sign for tomorrow.
  • Tomorrow on the overnight IWM is setting up for A --another gap down, or B --small moves
  • NOV is below the lower bb band--that means those lower bb bands ain't gonna support--on the XLE stocks
  • AGP--went too conservative on the entry--22.5 never filled--could pullback to 23 or 23.6--that's when to try again
  • FTO twelve point five? or twelve point oh?

    VIX really isn't at 30 yet--I have Sept--so there's time--VIX --all the other investors are saying 30--Why aren't any of them saying $34? I'd be saying $34--if I were those guys!
