  • New Post SPY chart http://zstock7.com/?p=1996
  • Thanksgiving bears, Xmas bulls, well these are clusters of time, Sometimes the Xmas rally doesn't officially begin until it's January. Just thought you'd like to know.
  • Note to self, KSS $61 is too high.
  • TenYear
IYR: $43.55 resistance short term...watch the close. SRS overnighter might work
  • TenYear
MBI: Joseph Brown, Director bought 50,000 shares on November 25th.
  • SPWRA, my best guess, 20.05 is the low for the month.
  • NYX LONG $25, use a 1% stop, 1/4 position
  • I'm holding all of my gold shorts, PCU,NEM,GOLD--GG, I don't have a position, $43 looks like the new short sell price
  • Armando Gomez--he's up 300% in 9 months, trading buy and hold, mostly SPY 500 stocks

I don't know if this link will get you to his Kaching site
  • At this moment 1 hour before closing----I'll add a 1/8 position SHORT DE, -I don't have any new Long positions,
  • I probably should go long something, except that I have falling knife signals on the SPY overnight chart! Which doesn't make any sense to me, because usually the 1st day of the month is an UP day.
  • JEC long, I was only in it for one day, for a win--I used the 5 day true low rule, for the dead cat bounce. Now at 8% under my original entry, I'm sort of concerned, going long on it today
  • JEC 34.7, 11-17 members chart. Is 8% under my highest suggested entry point--11% is the most I ever miss by--
  • PCU, I have overnight signals, lower low tomorrow, then another lower low Wed, we'll see
  • joeynickels
    Anything for GG?
  • GG, $43 looks like the new short sell price.
  • ERTS, another eps change lower, past 7 days, it's starting to point to 15.3 ( doubtful) but that's what's against me.
  • DE 10-20 members chart , "if it does get to $51, I'd be surprised" looks safe to short $54 or $53
  • CECO, alert! 11-16 members chart--short price not activated yet!
  • ENER, 5 day falling knife--I'll wait for the first up day, and then go long--unless it's one of those up 8% days
  • ERTS, 4 month pattern, down on the 1st of the month, then 2nd, thru 5th --it's up
  • ENER I bought at the short term exit 10.57--so it's going to be a break even trade, unless I want to hold for a month.
  • ENER, the last 3 times the exit was the 100 day, now the 200 day, just showed up on the chart $14--That's a possible / probable long term exit.
  • JCP, long, what a stupid idiot--I'll have to wait for the second target now or publish another chart--It's not 29's anymore.
  • TenYear
FXP: I'm looking for an up day in china stocks tomorrow. Buy FXP tomorrow if it is down.
  • TenYear
KNXA: It must be a buy right here. rsi just broke 30. look for this to be an overnight play. I've traded it like twice in my lifetime.
  • old_sparky
Lieutenant Z, How do you like ENER at 10 bucks? Seems I have heard you mention this one a time or two. I am watching AGO tomorrow. Pretty good pullback after a big move.
  • Here's a z-rule, Once a market or stock tops, the next thing the market does, is go out there and find the low.
I think the market topped short term---(10-20 days out)
  • Hi Pramod, JAS reports 11-2, will miss earnings and go down on earnings date! I geta $40 target price for 2010.
SNDA, 11-2 reports--could see $60 on earnings, if it beats the street-( which it almost always does, btw) -$60 is SPY500 p/e 17.5 X SNDA eps $3.5
SNDA, might move just enough on earnings, to do a profitable strangle, and the Dec OTM strikes are priced right! (0.90) How about that!
TOL reports 11-3, if it dips,Buy the DIP!
Ok that's all for now on EPS History, my brain hurts now---
  • Hi Z-

SNDA- I believe it will move 10% after earnings, either goes down to fill the gap at 45.20 or goes up to 54-55 and may be even 60. If the earnings/guidance are bad, it can go as low as 40, which was a major resistance in the past and hence will act as support

  • Hi Pramod, I was looking at SNDA, too! It takes around a 6% move for a strangle to make 10% profit, using OTM, front month strikes--an 11% move makes 40% or more profit. This earnings play seems good enough to strangle! I have limited experience with strangles. I only know if it's a 6% or greater move, the profits start rolling in. One time it was 900% profit on ISRG. ISRG just totally went up in after hours, and 3 days later, the call was at 900% profit. Fortune8 and I played that one together. I've played a few more since then, but had mixed results--
  • Hi Z,

How can I forget ISRG.....I made a fortune on it as well using a strangle :-)

I just posted my game plan at my blog if you are interested-

  • In all of the hull a-baloo--today, I forgot to open a small position on NYX_It's probably just as well, because the right day to go long NYX is looking like next Tuesday--intraday.
